BIOGRAPHY

Colombian born, Irene Gomez has performed in cities as Paris, Dijon, Bergerac, Metz, Basilea, Brno, New York, Chicago, Washington, Dallas, Erie (PA), and Bogota, among others. She has been praised by UK Classical Guitar Magazine as “wonderfully expressive” and “unbound by conventional interpretations” by Soundboard Guitar Magazine in USA.

Irene has released four CDs (Sunset Guitar, In the woods, Images, Etudes and Fantasies), that have had great reception and have been re-edited in new editions.

She has performed with National Orchestra of Colombia, as well as in different chamber music groups with repertoires from baroque to jazz.

Irene Gomez has been a teacher at the Conservatory of Music at the National University of Colombia.

She holds degrees from Claude Debussy Conservatoire in France, The National University of Colombia and the Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School in New York.
